Commentary on the first draft of the storyboard

We decided to start the sequence with a person lying on the floor with an eerie score because this would create suspense from the beginning which is what is needed in a thriller film.

We have a close up of pills lying next to the character because this is an important prop during the sequence because it suggests the character committed suicide, however later on in the sequence we see and hear footsteps of another character walking away which could suggest murder because he is walking away from the scenery whereas we would normally expect them to be helping the person dying. Therefore all of these create enigmas for the audiences. Furthermore it is suitable for an espionage thriller.

From shot 6, there is a voice over from one of the main characters Jimmy speaking directly to the audience, this keeps the audiences engaged to the film.

For shots 11 and 12, we have close ups of words in a letter, this creates enigmas because the audience only sees a few words and not the whole letter.

During the sequence we have an eerie score which creates dramatic effects and creates suspense and tension. We also decided to add many close ups which is something you would normally see in a thriller sequence.

The audience sees the different tracks of the film such as a person who is dead then back to when he was alive, then a different scene with hackers. This shows there is a lot happening without revealing what is going to happen later on in the film.
